Suzanne Carol Knab

Suzanne Carol (Mayer) Knab, 83, of Bennington, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on December 8, 1941, in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Mary (Milligan) Mayer. Suzanne graduated from East High School in Buffalo. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Knab. She dedicated many years of service to the Attica Central School cafeteria before retiring in 2007.

Suzanne was an active member of her local senior citizens club. She loved traveling, especially to Florida. She also loved spending time with family and having lunch with her many friends. Her hobbies included golfing, bowling, bingo, playing cards, cooking, and cheering for the Buffalo Bills, always with a smile on her face.

She is survived by her devoted companion, Joe Gronowski, and her children: Kimberly (David) Hudson, Beth (Ronald) Crane, Amy (David) Wilczak, Dennis (Shelly) Knab, Cynthia (Thomas) Weber, Jeffrey Knab, and Douglas Knab. Suzanne was a loving grandmother, great-grandmother, and Aunt Sue. She was also a beloved sister-in-law to Sandra Mayer. She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Mayer.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Marley Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Attica, NY. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM.

In honor of Suzanne’s memory, donations may be made to the Bennington Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. (1353 Clinton Street, Attica, NY 14011) or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
