Ruth W. Lange

Ruth W. Lange, 89, of Attica, died peacefully on July 20, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 30, 1926, in Greigsville, NY, to the late Chauncey and Evelyn Barrett Wellman. Mrs. Lange is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Kilian Lange, who died May 24, 1996; brother, Donald Wellman; along with a sister- and brother-in-law, Ruth and Reg Roys.

A member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Attica, she was first employed as a hairdresser and went on to work at GTE Sylvania, retiring after 28 years of service.

She is survived by a son, David (Marilyn) Lange; daughter, Marcia (Robert) Perry; three granddaughters, Karen (Adam) LaDuke; Suzanne (Greg) Scholand; and Danielle Perry; three great- granddaughters, Naomi, Sally, and Margo LaDuke; a sister-in-law, Carol Wellman; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday, July 24, 2016, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, at Marley Funeral Home, LLC, 135 Main Street, Attica, NY 14011. A 10:30 AM Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 25, 2016, at the Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery, Attica.
