Leona Mary Beitz

Leona Mary Beitz, 96 of Batavia passed away peacefully on Friday January 19, 2018, at New York State Veterans Home @ Batavia, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 1, 1921 in Lancaster to the late Leo V. (Barbara A. Laubacher) Knauber. Leona is predeceased by her husband Raymond G. Beitz, daughter Mary Joose, siblings John, Thomas, Veronica, and Sister Mary Leo Knauber O.S.F.

She is survived by her children, Raymond (Ellen) Beitz Jr. of Lisle, NY; Philip (Brenda) Beitz of Mesquite, TX; Norman (Karen) Beitz of Florissant, CO; Sandy Pettit of Johnstown, NY; Thomas Beitz of Attica; Paul (Elaine) Beitz of Attica; son-in-law Robert Joose of Byron; siblings Robert Knauber of Lancaster; Roy (Jean) Knauber of Irving, TX; Sister Grace Knauber O.S.F of Williamsville, NY; Rita Hake of Lancaster; Joan Schmidt of Lancaster; 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burail on Saturday February 3, 2018 at Sts. Joachim & Anne Parish, 50 East Ave, Attica, NY 14011. She will be laid to rest at a later date in St. Vincent's Cemetery, Attica.
