Janet M. Kelsey

Janet M. Kelsey, 82, of Alexander passed away Thursday September 8th surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 29, 1934 of the late Charles and Lila (Dutton) McNall in Depew NY. She is predeceased by 2 sisters, Evelyn (Joseph) Kane and Audrey (Walter) Brooks, and a brother, James (Jean) McNall.

Janet was a 1952 graduate of Alexander Central School, which is where she met Bill, and they were married on September, 18 1954. She was retired factory worker and housekeeper for many years in the Batavia area. Janet was also involved in her community, being a lifetime member of Alexander United Methodist Church, participating in many church functions. She was also a member of Hobby Club and a Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed camping with her husband, baking, gardening, card playing and just spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband D. William “Bill” Kelsey, 5 children; Bruce (Amy) Kelsey of Alexander, Sharon (John) Riley of Alexander, Linda (Michael) Brade of Batavia, Diane (Steven) Kujawski of Batavia and Michele Papke (Mark Fitch) of Dale, NY. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many brothers and sisters in-law along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Monday September 12, 2016 from 4:00-7:00PM and Tuesday September 13th from 9:45-10:45AM at Marley Funeral Home, LLC. 135 Main Street Attica, New York 14011. An 11:00AM Funeral Service will immediately follow at the Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Alexander Cemetery, Railroad Street in Alexander, New York.
