Ernest Laware

Attica - We have lost another great man. Ernie LaWare, age 78, of Attica passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at his Home in Attica, NY.

Ernest was born Tuesday, March 13th, 1945 in Buffalo, New York a son of the late Ernest Jr. and Lois (Peacock) LaWare.

Ernie was a true cowboy at heart, who owned and worked with horses all his life, even traveling to Oklahoma to rope and calve on a real ranch. He was a man of the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing with his buddies. In his younger years Ernie was a member of the Eric County Jr Mounted patrol and also volunteered at the Angola Fire Department. Ernie served his country proudly in the National Guard. He was a master electrician and enjoyed working with his hands. He built his own home in Attica NY in 89 days. Always working on his home and with his horses, Ernie found time to make his own wine, grew a large garden, and had many, many animals over the years. Ernie was loved by all and will be missed greatly.

Ernie will be remembered by his daughter Rebecca (Wayne Fenton) LaWare; many adoring nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and every life he touched. In death Ernie will be rejoined with his wife, Linda LaWare, and parents Ernest Jr. and Lois LaWare.

Ernie will be remembered at a celebration of life to be announced in the near future.
