Claudia Ann Harloff

Attica - Claudia Ann Bowen Harloff, age 90, of Attica, NY passed away on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024, in Batavia, NY.

She was born on Friday, October 13th, 1933, in Stafford, a daughter of the late Claude and Anna (Dool) Bowen.

Claudia was a longtime member of the Attica Fireman's Ladies Auxiliary, 44 years, and the Attica Historical Society. She enjoyed painting ceramics, playing bingo and card games, traveling throughout the US, and spending time with her friends and family.

Claudia graduated from Attica High School in 1951 and married the love of her life, William (Bill) Harloff Sr., on July 17, 1954. They were married for 54 years until Bill’s passing in 2008. Claudia dedicated her life to serving and protecting others as a corrections officer for the Albion Correctional Facility and later as a security officer for the Buffalo Psychiatric Center until her retirement in 1992.

Surviving are her daughters, Sheila (Mark) Reisdorf, Arcade, NY, Brenda (Bruce) Serena, Akron, NY and Susan (Keith) Metz, Attica, NY; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; siblings, William (Alice) Bowen, Attica, NY, Rita Rivers, Buffalo, NY and brother in law James Royce Warsaw, NY.

In death she will be reunited with her husband, Bill and son, William (Billy) Harloff Jr.; siblings, Kenneth Bowen, Robert (Mary Ann) Bowen, Christopher ‘Dick’ (Lillian) Bowen, Margaret Bowen, Donna Bowen Royce; brother in law, Stephen Rivers and sister in law, Phyllis (George) Somerhalder.

Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, at Marley Funeral Home, 135 Main St. Attica, NY. Claudia’s funeral service will be on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Marley Funeral Home at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Forest Hill cemetery.

She will be deeply missed by her loving family, friends, colleagues, and all who knew her.
