Charles M. Richards

Charles M. Richards, 75 of Attica, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Charlotte House in North Java. He was born in Albany, October 5, 1947 to the late Charles and Dulice (Leader) Richards.

Chuck was a proud United States Navy Veteran. He worked as a police officer in Albany, before moving to Wyoming County and working as a Lieutenant at both Attica Correctional Facility and Wyoming County Correctional Facility. Chuck loved reading, gardening and his dog Jack. He made beautiful furniture out of wood, was known to be a history buff and loved to share his knowledge.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Collen F. (Heeney) Richards of Attica, children, Travis (Sarah) Richards of Greenville, NY, Aimee Gales of NC, Tara Cole of Ghent, NY, Bryan (Maria) Cole of Athens, NY, Tricia Cole of Batavia, 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, along with several nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours and services will be held at the convenience of the family.
