Carol Anne Embt, 79, of Le Roy, formerly of East Bethany passed away on October 27, 2017 at the Le Roy Village Green. She was born on March 18, 1938 in Batavia to the late Howard and Ruby (Kilner) Smith. In addition to her parents, Carol is predeceased by her brothers Dick and Bill Smith.
Carol loved being a housewife and taking care of her children. She was also very proud to be a farmer’s wife. She helped start and finish the chores in the barn and her husband Lyle taught her how to drive a car and their tractors. Carol enjoyed sewing and doing needlepoint and always had room for a stray animal in their home. Most of all, her pride and joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years; Lyle W. Embt of LeRoy, formerly East Bethany; her 8 children Paul (Lori) Embt of Pavilion, Tim Embt of E. Bethany, Bob (Gail) Embt of VA., Becky (Mark) DiNardo of MD., Don (Susan) Embt of VA., Susan (Brian) Meyers of E. Bethany, Sarah (Phil) Miess of Henrietta and Tom (Jennifer) Embt of Cheektowaga; along with 15 grandchildren.
There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral Services will be held privately for the family at their convenience.
